This $18.5 million of Hixson Middle School added approximately 77,000 square feet to the existing facility. Components of the project included a new two-story classroom and gymnasium wing (which also will serve as a safe room), a cafeteria expansion, a new library and front office expansion wing, a new music classroom addition, and a grand new entrance with a secured vestibule.
